Influenced by her family, Yip Hiu Wai (Ding) believes a simple heartwarming homemade meal helps bring the family together and serves as the foundation of a person's physical and social
well-being. Since her school years at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, she has been passionate about social innovation and entrepreneurship. Understanding the difficulties city dwellers with long working hours face when taking care of their fresh and healthy food demand, and the struggles housewives face when entering the labor market with household limitations, Ding started Festyle before graduation.
Festyle is a social enterprise which aims to promote cook-it-yourself culture, as well as women employment and empowerment. Festyle makes the use of traditional wisdom and seasonal ingredients to deliver ready-to-cook cuisine boxes, providing tailor-made job opportunities for women to unleash their potential and develop their social network.
